Tenerife South (TFS) has the largest concentration of car rental desks on the island, since it handles nearly all holiday traffic. Picking up here is generally straightforward, but a few TFS-specific quirks catch first-time visitors out.

- Peak-season queues build fast. Flights land in clusters; if several land close together, expect a wait at the more popular desks. Arriving with your paperwork already in hand shortens this.
